Innovatum President Serving as 2014 Chair of AIM’s North American Healthcare Committee

Sugar Hill, GA – January 1, 2014 -- AIM, the worldwide association for Automatic Identification and Mobility announced today that Innovatum’s President, Ardi Batmanghelidj, is serving as Chair for the North American Healthcare Committee in 2014.

The AIM North America Unique Device Identification (UDI) Committee was originally developed to provide guidance and best practices on the use of AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) technologies in the implementation of the FDA UDI and SNI initiatives. The Committee commented on the FDA UDI proposed rule and offered recommendations for a final UDI rule. The committee was renamed in 2013 to the AIM North America Healthcare Committee to signify that it is now handling a broader scope of topics related to AIDC within healthcare. It is working to develop and promote implementation models that are technologically and economically sensible and address the need for interoperability with current and emerging national and international regulations, with an emphasis on technological compatibility and affordability.

“I am honored to be part of a venerable organization that for 40 years has promoted sensible and forward looking use of technology. It is this same ethos that will guide us through the challenges of AIDC within healthcare, reaching its clear benefits at the other end. I look forward to providing a greater contribution in this role. ” Said Batmanghelidj.

QuickLabel Systems And Innovatum Present Jointly

Sugar Hill, GA – August 6, 2013 --   Ardi Batmanghelidj, President of Innovatum and Eric Pizzuti, Vice President and General Manager of QuickLabel Systems recently conducted a presentation called, “Achieving Compliance Agility With A Color Enabled Off The Shelf Label Management System” during the 2013 Medical Device Global Labeling Strategies Conference held in Minneapolis.  The joint presentation explained the way that Innovatum's ROBAR Enterprise Label Management System and QuickLabel's Kiaro! inkjet label printer combine to form a complete and efficient FDA-compliant color label printing solution.

During his part of the presentation, Mr. Batmanghelidj delved into the topics of: centralized & secure enterprise management control over labels & content, adapting through configuration rather than programming, design here - print anywhere, and the final step- reporting UDI attributes to the GUDID.  The overall message being that Innovatum’s ROBAR optimizes a UDI compliant label management and printing process while referencing a single source of truth for labeling.

Mr. Pizzuti explored the topics of: control over labels and content, short-run label printing, printing color labels in 1200 DPI, and printer compatibility.  It is clear that QuickLabel’s Kiaro! enables the efficient printing of high resolution color labels on blank stock.

Innovatum’s ROBAR enables medical device manufacturers to comply with all-important upcoming UDI labeling requirements.  And ROBAR combines well with QuickLabel Systems Kiaro! printer to produce a system that affords maximum compliance agility and cost effectiveness.  Through the use of a joint solution from both companies, wasted time, effort and expensive pre-printed materials are eliminated.

Astro-Med's QuickLabel Systems Forges New Partnership With Innovatum

WEST WARWICK, RI, May 29, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- QuickLabel Systems, a business unit of Astro-Med, Inc., has announced a marketing agreement with Innovatum by which they will actively promote one another's products. At the heart of the new agreement is an understanding that Innovatum's ROBAR Enterprise Label Management System and QuickLabel's Kiaro! inkjet label printer combine to form a complete FDA-compliant color label printing solution. The combined solution will be demonstrated June 5-6, 2013 in Booth #307 at the OrthoTec Show, held at the Orthopedic Capital Center at Grace College, Winona Lake, IN.

Under the new partnership, QuickLabel Systems and Innovatum will jointly promote an FDA compliant color UDI label printing solution comprising QuickLabel's Kiaro! inkjet color label printer and Innovatum's ROBAR enterprise label printing software. Medical device manufacturers will benefit from this combined system which reduces costs by providing validated, UDI enabled labeling in color.

The agreement comes as medical device manufacturers move to comply in advance of the new FDA UDI label regulation which requires each product to bear a Unique Device Identification label composed of: a device identifier that is specific to a device model; a production identifier which includes the current production information for that specific device, such as a lot or batch number; and the serial number and/or expiration date. Most manufacturers' labels also contain color codes and color graphics to differentiate product models and brands.

QuickLabel Systems is a leader in digital color label printers that print full color labels in short-run batches, on demand. Innovatum is a leader in FDA-compliant labeling software that enables medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology manufacturers to comply with the all-important upcoming UDI and serialization labeling requirement.

"For almost a decade, Innovatum customers have been looking for a robust color label printer that retains color fidelity and is easy to run and affordable in terms of material and stock. I believe, finally, with the advent of the Kiaro!, QuickLabel has hit it out of the park. I expect the Kiaro! to be a really powerful tool in color label printing within the life sciences vertical," said Ardi Batmanghelidj, President of Innovatum.

"Not only is ROBAR labeling software an end-to-end label design, management, and printing solution, but it can accelerate a manufacturer's 'go-live' date by several months because its solution can be rapidly validated for adherence with regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers will reduce costs and save time with our combined solution for printing UDI compliant labels in color," said Eric E. Pizzuti, Vice President and General Manager of QuickLabel Systems. "We've admired Innovatum's FDA-strength enterprise labeling solutions for some time and we're pleased to deepen our relationship with them."

Innovatum, Inc. announces FTP Exit Point Management

September 17th 2010

Sugar Hill, GA -
Innovatum, Inc. today announces that it has added FTP Exit Point Management to DataThread, its IBM i Audit and Workflow system. This enhancement is now generally available to existing customers and will be included in the upcoming release of DataThread Version 4 slated for release Q1 of 2011.

Innovatum’s DataThread is an audit tool that dynamically monitors IBM i activity that is of internal or regulatory compliance significance, while discarding millions of normal and routine transactions. “With the addition of Exit Point management and the ability to prevent inappropriate activity, we have moved beyond just auditing” said Ardi Batmanghelidj, President of Innovatum. "Managing FTP exit points in a data centric manner, is certainly one of the most requested enhancements we are excited to deliver to System i users. Our customers especially like the discovery mode which allows them to easily see and analyze FTP access, and the consequent data activity on our inquiries and reports."

"Having the ability to see consolidated activity allows our clients to make informed adjustments to existing security settings." says Ron Kohlhorst, Vice President of Development. " Most activity is legitimate business, but being able actually see it and act on any aberrations provides for accurate assurance controls."
An automated review and approval process allows administrators to readily configure DataThread to restrict FTP activity by day and time, user id, IP address and other parameters which are key to many regulations being enforced by auditors.
