InnoTasc - Architecture
InnoTasc's Web-Based Enterprise Architecture Enables Global Collaboration and Real-Time Visibility
InnoTasc is an ideal solution for a wide variety of corporate workflow scenarios, with or without accompanying files. For example, the following diagram represents the process of reviewing and approving a critical document prior to publication:

Initiate Workflow:
The author has completed the final draft of the document. He logs in to InnoTasc, where he selects the appropriate personnel, attaches the document file and submits the workflow. InnoTasc places the document in a secure "In-Process Directory" so that it may not be altered while under review. At the same time, InnoTasc sends an e-mail with a web link to the first approver; alerting her that a new workflow activity requires her attention.
Approver #1:
Upon receiving the e-mail alert, Approver #1 clicks on the link and logs in to InnoTasc's secure web portal with her user name and password. She can then access the workflow activity queue, view an electronic copy of the document in question, add any notes in a separate "comments" field and either approve or reject the document. In this case, Approver #1 approves the document, which updates the workflow activity queue and sends an e-mail alert to Approver #2.
Approver #2:
Upon receiving the e-mail alert, Approver #2 clicks on the link and logs in to InnoTasc's secure web portal with his user name and password. He can then access the workflow activity queue, view an electronic copy of the document in question (including any notes from Approver #1), add any notes of his own in a separate "comments" field and either approve or reject the document. In this case, Approver #2 approves the document, which updates the workflow activity queue and sends an e-mail alert to Approver #3.
Approver #3:
Upon receiving the e-mail alert, Approver #3 clicks on the link and logs in to InnoTasc's secure web portal with her user name and password. She can then access the workflow activity queue, view an electronic copy of the document in question (including any notes from Approver #1 and/or Approver #2), add any notes of her own in a separate "comments" field and either approve or reject the document. In this case, Approver #3 approves the document. This final approval step automatically updates the workflow activity queue and moves the document from the "In-Process" directory to the "Target" directory on the network, where it can now be accessed by relevant parties for printing.
While the above diagram describes a very basic workflow scenario, InnoTasc has the flexibility to manage a multitude of sophisticated business processes with complex rules. Moreover, InnoTasc retains a comprehensive audit trail of all workflow activities to improve accountability around critical documents and tasks.
