ROPICS (Radio Frequency Order Picking and Inventory Control System) is a system designed to allow remote client computers to access and control various functions of a central ERP system.

ROPICS gives operators using these devices (PC's, RF hand held computers, etc.) the ability to do such things as inquire into inventory, affect inventory transactions, print bar code labels for in-process inventory tracking, weigh and label batch components, and pick customer orders, all without using the traditional ERP interface.

The system is based on the concept of sending individual transactions and receiving responses to these transactions through a series of asynchronous communications mechanisms.
