Why RONOVA

Built for the environments that audit you.

Plenty of software prints a label. The difficulty in regulated manufacturing is proving, years later, exactly which label shipped and who approved it.

Six differences that matter, with .

01

Change management with the reason attached.

A change captures WHY it was made at the moment it is made, and links every object altered as part of it, template, product data, translation, configuration. The change set is one record rather than a trail to reassemble later: what changed, why, who approved it, and everything that moved with it.

02

A complete audit history, signed.

Every user action and every change is recorded against a person, a time and a reason, with electronic signature for 21 CFR Part 11. The same controls answer the equivalent expectations under EU Annex 11 and EU MDR, ANVISA in Brazil and NMPA in China: one control model rather than one per jurisdiction.

03

Printing workflows built to your process.

Fully configurable, web-based printing workflows shaped to the production printing process a plant already runs, rather than a fixed sequence the floor has to work around. Configured rather than custom-built, and reachable from a browser instead of a workstation.

04

Secure multi-tenant isolation.

Every customer runs in its own logically isolated tenant database. Separation is at the database level rather than filtered in the application layer, which is the distinction that actually matters when the question arrives from a security review or a supplier audit.

05

AI applied where it saves real work.

AI integrations for template matching, label refinement and analysis, reporting and configuration. Aimed at the parts of labeling that are pattern recognition (finding the template that fits, spotting what looks wrong) rather than at the parts that need a named approver.

06

Migration that is not a restart.

Data migration, system adoption and configuration to your business needs are part of onboarding rather than a project you run alone. Templates, master data and approval history come across, so years of accumulated configuration are not rebuilt from scratch.

Coming from ROBAR

Your configuration comes with you.

RONOVA is the successor to ROBAR. Migration carries across label templates, master data and approval history, and Innovatum handles the revalidation, so the years of configuration behind your current system are not rebuilt from scratch, and the historical record stays intact.

Common questions

We already print labels from our ERP. Why add a labeling system?

ERP holds the product and order data well, but it does not hold label artwork, approval workflow or version history, and it does not resolve market-specific content by destination. The usual result is labels maintained in a design tool alongside ERP, with nothing enforcing that the two agree. A labeling system takes the authoritative data from ERP and adds the control model the label itself needs.

Is a validated system slower to change?

Controlled, not slow. Change carries review and evidence, but a system where market requirements are configuration rather than per-label edits means a regulatory change is one controlled edit instead of a sweep across dozens of near-identical labels. The uncontrolled alternative is faster only until the first audit finding.

We currently run ROBAR. What happens to our system?

Nothing has to happen: ROBAR is still supported and still sold, and there is no forced migration. If you do choose to move, RONOVA is reached on a supported path that carries across label templates, master data and approval history, with Innovatum handling the migration and the revalidation so an existing configuration is not rebuilt from scratch. Whether the move is worth making depends on your estate, which is a conversation rather than a deadline.

Can we start with one capability and add others later?

Yes. The capabilities share one product record, so adding serialization later builds on data that is already in place rather than starting a new integration. That is the practical advantage of one system over several point tools.
